SUCTIA Trainers Manual is already available!
This manual is linked to the second intellectual output of the SUCTIA project, the development and design of blended training materials for future SUCTIA TRAINERS. Its structure reflects the main areas which will be the object of the training sessions, which are the internationalisation of academic institutions as a whole, internationalising teaching and learning, and internationalising research.
The manual will give you the key tools and information you need to become a SUCTIA Trainer able to deliver the SUCTIA course in your institution. This course, which can be run as often as deemed appropriate, has the objective to empower as many academic staff members as possible in order to truly internationalise our higher education institutions from within.
Developing the manual has been a stimulating exercise for the whole SUCTIA team, and the material that was finally included here is only a selection of what was produced, discussed, reworked and critically reviewed. It is the result of considerable teamwork in which everyone played a part. Undoubtedly, every trainer who picks up the manual will make something different of it
The framework for this Manual starts from the original SUCTI concept, and the first section about internationalisation develops out of the SUCTI manual. The other contents of this Manual are based on the knowledge, experience and research of SUCTIA members (among other SUCTIA Report, click here to read the report).
We truly hope it will serve not only SUCTIA Trainers, but also HE community in their internationalization endeavors!

SUCTIA Webinar: Engaging academic staff in internationalisation

Academic staff are central stakeholders in higher education institutions and play a crucial role in their organisations’ internationalisation efforts. But how can academic staff best be supported to engage with their institutions’ internationalisation strategies and activities?
Join us on Friday 26 June at 11:00 CEST for this free, one hour webinar that will present the first findings of an EU-funded project, Systemic University Change Towards Internationalisation for Academia (SUCTIA), which is focused on these dynamics.
In this webinar you will:
- Be exposed to the findings of an exploratory study on academic staff engagement in internationalisation, featuring data from 15 different European countries.
- Gain insight into the experiences of several different European universities that are committed to advancing quality training in internationalisation for academic staff

SUCTIA kick-off meeting

AMU hosted the first transnational project meeting that took place in Poznań on Dec 16-17, 2020. The event was attended by 16 participants from 8 Partner institutions. The aim of the meeting was to present an outline of the project, as well as its agenda, schedule and discuss the division of work and responsibilities. We have also already started working on the first Intellectual Output, that is “European report on systemic university changes towards internationalisation for academic staff in European Higher Education Institutions”, which will be coordinated by EAIE in the cooperation with all Partners.
One of the meeting outputs is already a short video explaining what SUCTIA is all about and why it is important to internationalize all groups of staff at HEIs, in particular academics.
